Something kinda similar happened to me a few months ago.

I was filling up at a gas station, and noticed this guy approach everyone who was filling up, asking if they could spare some change or a few gallons of gas for his gas can to fill his truck up. He was an older gentleman, and had asked about 3 people, all of whom said they couldn't help. He then asked me, and of course I said "No, I'm sorry." All this time I'm still filling up the 335, and then an older lady pulls up to the gas station. Sure enough, he comes to her and asks her for help. I think she was more scared due to the fact someone was approaching her at a gas station. At that point, I saw the old man just break down and say things like "I wish someone could just help me." and start crying.

I felt so bad for him, I called him over and told him I'd fill up his gas can. Of course, I shut my pump off first, and then restarted it before filling his gas can, because it was clear that his old pickup truck didn't need 91 octane.

It defiantly felt good to do something nice to a stranger once in awhile, and I did see him pour the gas into his car, so I don't think I was swindled out of my money!
